Mercurial Waters
By Hannah Mae Webster

Bathing in gold and laden with truths,

the lullaby of lies has fallen out of tune.

A lament for the lost; the mercurial minds,

sinks beneath oil as prayer starts to rise.

Failing through levels of midnight water,

a sunken ship settles its fate with no author.

A star-crossed voyage ending in the mud,

now a treasure-filled artefact in the museum of good.
